Halifax Health Opens the Area’s First OB Emergency Department

Halifax Health – Center for Women & Infant Health is proud to announce the opening of the areas first and only OB Emergency Department, Tuesday, June 12, 2012. The additions to the Center for Women and Infant Health consist of a 4 – bed, Obstetrician Emergency Department that is located on its Labor and Delivery floor. The skilled Labor and Delivery staff will assess each patient and provide care, along with the staff OB/GYN physician. Halifax Health – Center for Women and Infant Health also adds four new OB Hospitalists, to join the nursing staff in ensuring patient safety and care. These four board certified OB/GYN physicians will provide the patients with a 24 – hour a day, 7 days a week option of an emergency physician. Learn more at http://bit.ly/MKlNSY.
